CAMON Water Finding Paste The CAMON Water Finding Paste is golden brown in color and turns brilliant red upon contact with water. This water finding paste will successfull gauge water content in all petroleum and hydrocarbons as well as sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrocloric ammonia, soap solutions, salt and other chloride solutions. Easily test for water in a fuel tank by spreading a thin film of onto a dipstick or other graduated rod This modified version is specifically for use with Methanol & Ethanol enriched fuels, E85/B100 Dark brown paste turns bright red after contacting water, clearly measuring the level of water in your tank Will not harm or alter the composition of gasoline, kerosene or any other fuel Paste is made entirely of non-hazardous materials and cleans off easily after use CAMON Water Finding Paste, otherwise known as Water Gauging Paste, is used to test for the presence of water in the bottom of oil, diesel, petrol, gasoline, fuel oil, and kerosene tanks. The brown paste is applied to a weighted string or rod, and dipped to the bottom of the tank. The section of the paste that touches water, will immediately turn a brilliant red upon contact, then, once the rod is removed, you can determine the depth of the water by the paste that has changed colour. Water Finding Paste – PETROLEUM AND LIQUID PRODUCT INDICATOR Directions for Use: Put a thin film of Water Finding Paste on the tape or rod where the level of the water (bottom of tank), alcohols (bottom of tank) or gasoline (upper tank) or liquid (upper tank) is expected. Lower the tape or rod into the tank or drum. Level will appear as a color contrast on the tape or rod. Instantaneous color change in hydrocarbons and acids. Color change in heavy oils will take 10-15 seconds. Water Finding Paste offers a simple way to check for the presence of water (as little as 6%) in blended and oxygenated fuels such as: Gasohol, E20, Bio-fuels and Bio-diesel where the presence of ethanol is present. KKM3 is used by “sticking” the tank (with a measuring stick, rod or bar) with the paste applied to it. The color of the paste changes instantly upon contact with water. Dark brown color, Turns Bright Red upon contact with water. Gauge water level In Methanol and Ethanol (Biofuels). Alcohol solutions with as little as 6% water will appear as a light yellow color. Normal gauging appearance, Dard Red shows the water level and light yellow shows the alcohol/water level.
